Patient Billing

We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients by participating in most major dental PPO insurance plans as well as payment options to help you budget your healthcare goals.  We do not participate in any dental HMO plans, community plans (Medicaid) for adults, have in-house memberships or offer discounts on our services.  

For your convenience we accept all major credit cards, cash, or check and offer third-party financing through CareCredit for those who need payment options.  Payment is expected at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance.  Please let us know if you have a Flex Saving Account (FSA) or Health Saving Account (HSA) in addition to your traditional coverage.  If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at 913-341-7440.  Many times, a simple telephone call will clear any misunderstandings.

Please remember you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage.

We will send a statement to the guarantor on the family account when there is a balance.  For flexibility and security, we utilize customized eStatements via text and email and will send traditional paper statements upon request.  Our eStatements do not require patient portal but many families elect to utilize the portal to manage their account.  Ask if you think this might be the right option for you!   If you require visit details or payment receipts, we request that you utilize one of our electronic payment options.  

Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated.

Cancellation Policy

We utilize an appointment assistance system in order to communicate information related to patient appointments including reminders, requests to confirm,  form requests (called check-in), and any other important information related to your visit in an effort to help you avoid unnecessary fees.  While we understand that emergencies happen and our patients may not always be able to keep appointments as originally scheduled.  In order to be respectful of each other's time, please be courteous and communicate with the business office by confirming or requesting an appointment reschedule promptly by text, call, or email.  This will allow us to offer your reserved appointment time to someone else in need of urgent treatment.  If you find that you need to change your appointment, please let us know 24 business hours in advance.  We may require additional notice for specialty appointments.  

Failure to keep appointments as scheduled (No Show) are not only an inconvenience for others who need care but ultimately increase costs for everyone.  Failure to provide adequate notice, failure to confirm and/or failure to arrive at the appointed time may result in a cancellation/missed appointment fee.
